Stage 1: Lisboa-Vila Franca de Xira

This first stage of the Portuguese Way from Lisbon takes you from the Portuguese capital to Vila Franca de Xira. It is an initial stretch that allows you to get out of the city and into more rural landscapes, offering you a quiet introduction to the journey ahead.

  • Alpriate: Starting point of the stage, Alpriate is a small village with a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. You can enjoy its rural charm before heading north.
