Cycling the Portuguese Coastal Way
Cycling the Portuguese Coastal Camino, from Porto to Santiago
If you want to live the Portuguese Camino, along the coast, why not by bike?
Lately there are more and more pilgrims who decide to follow the Portuguese Coastal Way by bicycle. They are known as “bicigrinos”.
The minimum trail to get the Compostela by bicycle is 200 km long. This route will allow you to ride the Camino along almost the entire Atlantic coast, from Porto to Santiago de Compostela.
On this Camino de Santiago route, you will be able to visit two cities from two different countries: Santiago de Compostela and Porto, both with historic centres that have been declared World Heritage Sites by the UNESCO, since 1985 and 1996, respectively.
If you already have some cycling experience, and some bike mechanics in order to carry out basic repairs during the tour, we highly recommend you to take the Pilgrim’s Way to Santiago on wheels.
With the assistance of Galiwonders, you will be able to complete the last 200 km of the Portuguese Way along the Coast by bicycle. Let’s pedal now!
