Tourist Trains: a different way to discover Galicia

Have you ever thought it was possible to discover many different sides of Galicia, by train? From the Rí­as Baixas to the lighthouse way, there’s so much to see!

The Spanish National Railways (RENFE) have designed 9 different proposals that include transport by train (and supplementary buses to take all passengers to the most interesting points on each of the stops), and a tourist guide to explain all the history, landscapes and traditions.

You will be able to see impressive cliffs, gardens blooming with all the camelias, vineyards, monuments sculpted by nature… forget about the car and join us on the tourist trains!

Here you have a short list of the different options:

-Route around the historic Pazos and gardens of Galicia

Lovely buildings and gardens, full of charm, romance and history.

-Lighthouse route Train

You will enjoy the most stunning views of Galicia, in the northernmost point of the Iberian Peninsula.

-Rí­as Baixas Wine Trains

Taste the best wine wine of the world, Albariño, and enjoy the view of the Arousa estuary.

-O Ribeiro and Rí­as Baixas Wines Train

In this route you will be able to taste two different types of white wine: Albariño and Ribeiro. But also visit monasteries, fort-hills, and green landscapes.

-Ribeira Sacra Wine Train

Discover the brave town of Monforte de Lemos, and all the mystery around the Ribeira Sacra region.

-Monterrei Wine Train

You will be able to taste some lovely wines in an ancient castle, and visit the old quarter of Verí­n and Allariz.

-Valdeorras & Ribeira Sacra Wines Train

This route will take you to te monastery of Santo Estevo, the Sil River Canyons, and the wineries of Valdeorras region.

-Thermal & Northern Route Train

From A Coruña to Lugo, stopping in Guitiriz, where you will be able to relax on its hot springs.

-Lamprey & Condado do Tea Wine Trail

Enjoy a different side of the Rí­as Baixas: from Santiago de Compostela to Pontevedra and Arbo (the paradise of the delicious lamprey!)
