Experience the magic of the Camino de Santiago from coast to coast. From Ferrol to Finisterre, passing through Santiago de Compostela.

The Atlantic Way combines two of the most emblematic Xacobean routes: the English Way and the Finisterre Way. Through this itinerary you will be able to obtain the two certificates of the Way: the Compostela and the Finisterriana.

You will discover the Way that medieval pilgrims traveled overseas, crossing the sea until they reached Ferrol. In addition, you will end up back in the ocean at its most iconic point: the Finisterre Lighthouse, symbol of the Celtic, Roman and Xacobean tradition.

Check in Ferrol

Arrival in Ferrol, starting point of the English Way.

Ferrol – Pontedeume (30 km)

The first stage is the longest, so it is possible to divide it in two and stay in Neda. We recommend a visit to the port of Ferrol before starting the route, as it is one of the most emblematic of Galicia. On the other hand, already on the Camino, we recommend a stop at the Monastery of San Martiño de Neda.

Pontedeume – Betanzos (21 km)

This is a coastal stretch, with very pleasant views. Before reaching Betanzos, we recommend a stop at the Church of San Pantaleón de las Viñas, one of the most iconic points of the English Way.

Betanzos – Bruma-Mesón do Vento (28 km)

This is a quiet stage, through rural areas. Some sections run parallel to the river. The road combines asphalted areas with forest tracks.

Bruma-Mesón do Vento – Sigüeiro (24 km)

The route will take us through small rural areas, leaving behind chapels and crosses.

Sigüeiro – Santiago (16 km)

The last stage is the shortest, only 12 km. This will allow us to reach Santiago with enough time to enjoy the city. From Sigüeiro you can already feel the presence of the capital in the distance. Once in Santiago, do not forget to go to the Pilgrim’s Office with your Credential to request the Compostela.

Santiago - Negreira (21 km)

The first stage of this trail has little difficulty. On your way to Negreira, you will walk through pine and eucalyptus forests, small villages and Roman bridges.

Negreira – Santa Mariña (20 km)

You will walk around Serra de Castelo and Monte do Aro, amazing landscapes to photograph

Santa Mariña – O Logoso (16 km)

This is the most special stage. Why? Because of the sea view in the distance, for the first time!

O Logoso – Cee (18 km)

The stage goes all over rural areas until Cee, one of the fishing villages of the Coast of the Death.

Cee – Finisterre (15 km)

The Camino in this stage takes you along the Atlantic coast while enjoying the high cliffs that give its name to its coast, the wild beaches and the incredible views it offers. What to do when you get to Finisterre? Undoubtedly, visit the Lighthouse, where it is considered the End of the World. Enjoying the sunset with the views it offers is the greatest pleasure of all this Camino!

The Atlantic Way is recommended for pilgrims interested in obtaining both official certificates: the Compostela and the Finisterrana. In addition, this route is perfect for everyone who wants to start and end the Way in the Atlantic Coast, visiting, of course, Santiago de Compostela.

Cómo llegar

Desde A Coruña Airport

Car or cab: It is 50km with an estimated duration of 35 minutes.
Bus/train: Go to El Burgo-Santiago station and take a train (RENFE) to Ferrol, 1 hour trip. Another option is to take a bus (LÍNEA A4), 20′ to the Alfonso Molina stop. Desde Santiago de Compostela Airport

Car or cab: 90km with an estimated duration of 1h.
Bus/train: Take the bus (LINE 6A) from Santiago de Compostela airport to the station stop. Frequency every 15′ and with an approximate duration of 20′. Another option is to take a cab to the station, with an estimated duration of 15′. There you can take a bus (MONBUS) to Ferrol, a journey time of 2 hours and 30 minutes. Another option is to take a train (RENFE) towards A Coruña – San Cristóbal, and there transfer to the train to Ferrol, a total journey time of 1 hour and 50 minutes. Desde Vigo Airport

Car or cab: 615km with an estimated duration of 6 hours.
Plane: Take a plane to A Coruña airport (1 hour trip), or to Santiago de Compostela airport (1 hour and 15 minutes trip). Consult the train and bus options available.
Bus: From T4 take the bus to A Coruña (ALSA), journey time 8h. For schedules and more information visit: www.alsa.es
Train: From T4 take the suburban train (LÍNEA C1) towards Chamartín (17′ trip). Once there transfer to the train (RENFE) to Ferrol, journey time 5h and 40 minutes. For schedules and more information visit: www.renfe.com

Repetir es la mejor reseña No hay mejor opinión que repetir la experiencia. Mi primera experiencia con ellos fue en marzo y ahora en septiembre repetí y volveré a hacerlo. Atentos, cumplen todo, modifican lo que les pidas a capricho

Perfecta para tener un Buen Camino Muy buena experiencia, nos organizaron el camino francés desde Sarria tal y como les pedimos saliendo todo perfecto y según lo esperado.

Destacar que fuimos con un bebé y en todo alojamiento contamos con cuna tal y como habíamos pedido.

experiencia muy positiva Hice el camino frances desde sarria, todo muy bien organizado, a media pension,
tanto hoteles y pensiones bastante correctas.
algunos de ellos tenian restaurante, y desde luego es una ventaja, ya que al termino de la etapa del dia podias comer alli,
y sino te hacen un vale para comer muy cerca del alojamiento.
desde luego muy recomendable.
