Towns through which the stage takes place

  • Pamplona: The starting point, Pamplona, is a city full of history and energy. Pilgrims will have the opportunity to enjoy its lively streets, the Plaza del Castillo and the imposing Cathedral of Santa María la Real before entering the countryside.
  • Cizur Menor: Along the route, walkers will pass through this charming small town, known for its Romanesque church and for being a refuge for pilgrims.
  • Zariquiegui: A town that offers a pleasant break with its church of San Andrés and a panoramic view of the valley, inviting pilgrims to stop and enjoy the surroundings.
  • Puente de la Reina: The final destination of this stage, Puente de la Reina, is a beautiful town that takes its name from the Romanesque bridge over the Arga River. The town has cobbled streets, an impressive church and a charming medieval atmosphere.

Monuments to see along the route

  • Church of San Saturnino in Cizur Menor: Pilgrims can explore this Romanesque church that dates back to the 12th century, standing out for its simple elegance and its historical connection with the Camino de Santiago.
  • Cruceiro de Zariquiegui: On the way up to Zariquiegui, walkers will find a cruzeiro, a carved stone cross, which is part of the religious heritage of the path.
