Stage 1: Saint Jean Pied de Port – Roncesvalles

The first stage of the French Way is an unforgettable experience that begins in the charming town of Saint Jean Pied de Port, in France, and extends to Roncesvalles, in Spain. This stage, known as the Napoleon Route, offers pilgrims a challenging mix of mountainous landscapes and lush forests.
