Thinking about walking the Camino but you don’t want to leave your pet at home? Here you have the solution: you can now take your pet with you on this adventure!

If you are thinking about walking the Camino with your dog, you will be able to complete the last 100 km of the French Way. From Sarria to Santiago de Compostela in 9 stages. Your little friend will walk next to you, stage by stage (around 12 km per day).

Years ago, it was almost impossible to find any accommodation allowing pets inside their facilities. Nowadays in some of them it is possible to stay with our dog. We got in touch with them to create this dreamer route for you and your best fried!

Dogs love walking in the countryside, enjoy nature, the mountains and landscapes as much as we do. The Camino de Santiago tour is as exciting for them as it is for you! Your dog will have its own credential! How does it sound?

You will have time to stop in some of the most singular places and enjoy the gastronomy, take some photos and meet other dog-pilgrims that may have already started the Camino.

Check in Sarria, last 100km.

Sarria - Portomarín (23 km)

The Camino from Sarria to Portomarín offers you small rural villages, Romanesque-style hermitages and a quiet and pleasant path. After 22 km on the way, you will arrive at Portomarín, one of the most beautiful towns on this section of the Camino.

Portomarín - Palas de Rei (23 km)

This stage will begin by crossing a pine forest, and will take you through a multitude of towns. The church of Santa María de Castromaior stands out, in Romanesque style. The end of the day will take you to the town of Palas de Rei, one of the most emblematic stages of the Camino.

Palas de Rei - Melide (14 km)

Quiet stage, thanks to the division in Melide. When you arrive, don’t forget to try the famous Melide octopus!

Melide - Arzúa (14 km)

Among the main points of interest is the medieval town of Ribadiso before reaching Arzúa, a favorite with pilgrims. Once in Arzúa, we suggest you try its famous cheese!

Arzúa - Pedrouzo (18 km)

A fairly flat walk goes from Arzúa to Salceda, crossing eucalyptus forests and small towns.

Pedrouzo - Santiago (19 km)

And finally the last day of the Camino has arrived. From Monte do Gozo you will be able to see from above the beautiful city of Santiago de Compostela and its cathedral, your final destination. Many pilgrims stop here for a few minutes before starting the descent, remembering the best moments of an adventure that is about to end. When you arrive in Santiago, don’t forget to ask for the Compostela at the Pilgrim’s Office, take a walk through the old town and lie down in the Plaza del Obradoiro. If you still have energy left, we recommend that you continue your route to Muxía.

Desde Santiago de Compostela Airport

Car or cab: 116km with an estimated duration of 1 hour and 25 minutes.
Bus: Take the bus (LINE 6A) from Santiago de Compostela airport to the bus station. Frequency every 15′ and with an approximate duration of 20′. Another option is to take a cab to the station, with an estimated duration of 15′. Then, we must take a bus (monbus) to Sarria (1 hour and 50 minutes). Desde Madrid Airport

Car or cab: 500km with an estimated duration of 5h.
Plane: Take a flight to Santiago de Compostela, a 1h trip. Once at the airport take the bus (LINE 6A) from Santiago de Compostela airport to the bus station. Frequency every 15′ and with an approximate duration of 20′. Another option is to take a cab to the station, with an estimated duration of 15′. Train: From T4 take the suburban train (LÍNEA C1) towards Chamartín (17′ trip). Once there, transfer to the train towards Sarria (journey time 4h and 30 minutes) To consult timetables and more information visit: www.renfe.com

Desde Porto Airport

Car or cab: 280km with an estimated duration of 3 hours.

Desde Other nearby airports

From Vigo Airport: It is 160km with an estimated duration of 2h by car. Another option is to take the train (RENFE) from Vigo Guixar station to Ourense and there transfer to take the train to Sarria (total journey time about 5h). You can also take a bus (MONBUS) from Vigo Urzaiz station to Santiago, and once there, transfer to take a bus (monbus) to Sarria (journey time 1h and 50 minutes). From A Coruña Airport: It is 125km with an estimated duration of 1h and 20 minutes by car. Another option is to take the train (RENFE) from San Cristobal station to Sarria (2h and 30 minutes). You can also take the bus (ARRIVA) to Lugo and transfer to take a bus (MONBUS) to Sarria (total time 3h). Repetir es la mejor reseña No hay mejor opinión que repetir la experiencia. Mi primera experiencia con ellos fue en marzo y ahora en septiembre repetí y volveré a hacerlo. Atentos, cumplen todo, modifican lo que les pidas a capricho

Perfecta para tener un Buen Camino Muy buena experiencia, nos organizaron el camino francés desde Sarria tal y como les pedimos saliendo todo perfecto y según lo esperado.

Destacar que fuimos con un bebé y en todo alojamiento contamos con cuna tal y como habíamos pedido.

experiencia muy positiva Hice el camino frances desde sarria, todo muy bien organizado, a media pension,
tanto hoteles y pensiones bastante correctas.
algunos de ellos tenian restaurante, y desde luego es una ventaja, ya que al termino de la etapa del dia podias comer alli,
y sino te hacen un vale para comer muy cerca del alojamiento.
desde luego muy recomendable.
