Walk the Camino to Finisterre & Muxia

Now that you have reached Santiago de Compostela, why not continue a little bit further, up to the End of the World in Finisterre? And just two more walking days after, to be able to discover lovely Muxía! It is also possible to do the reverse route, ending in Finisterre, passing through Muxía first.

The way to Finisterre & Muxía will take you to the Celtic and Roman traditions of Galicia region. You will be able to discover the Costa da Morte (the Coast of Death in English), one of the most unspoiled regions of Spain, very popular because of its cliffs.

Once in Muxía, do not forget to get your Muxiana (the Pilgrim Certificate for those brave pilgrims who get there) and taste some delicious seafood! You can even do the route in reverse, ending in Santiago de Compostela instead. Do not hesitate to contact us for advice!

Santiago de Compostela – Negreira (21 km)

Today you will leave Santiago and, on your way to Negreira, you will walk through pine and eucaliptus forests, small hamlets and roman bridges. It is considered to be one of the less strenuous walking days.

Negreira – Santa Mariña (20 km)

You will walk around Serra de Castelo and Monte do Aro, amazing landscapes to photograph

Santa Mariña – O Logoso (16 km)

This is the most special stage. Why? Because of the sea view in the distance, for the first time!

O Logoso – Cee (17 km)

Walk across the San Pedro Mártir Hill and don´t forget to visit its small chapel and its water fountain with healing properties for rheumatism, foot and wart pain.

Cee – Finisterre (15 km)

This lovely walking day will take you through the Atlantic coast, you will be able to enjoy the view of breathtaking cliffs and wild beaches. You will always remember the scenery from the lighthouse in Finisterre.

Finisterre – Lires (14 km)

You will walk along the Costa da Morte for the last two days, passing through small rural areas with a Romanesque architecture.

Lires - Muxía (15 km)

The walk will take you through small Hamlets and Monte do Facho (enjoy the scenery from the heights!). Your final destination is Muxia, do not forget to visit the sanctuary of Nosa Señora da Barca and the Pedra de Abalar.

Route recommended for pilgrims who want to reach the end of the world and far away. If you enjoy the sea, fishing villages full of history and relaxing routes, ending up in Muxía is the perfect option.

Desde Santiago de Compostela Airport

Car or cab: 15km with an estimated duration of 15 minutes.
Bus/train: Take the bus (LINE 6A) from Santiago de Compostela airport to the Plaza de Galicia stop. Frequency every 15′ and with an approximate duration of 20′. Desde A Coruña Airport

Car or cab: 69km with an estimated duration of 45 minutes.
Train/bus: Take a bus (LÍNEA A4), 20′ to the Alfonso Molina stop. Go to San Cristobal station and take a train (RENFE) to Santiago de Compostela, journey time 1h. Desde Vigo Airport

Car or cab: 90km with an estimated duration of 1h.
Bus/train: Take the bus (LINE A) from Vigo Airport to the Urzaiz stop (Estación / Cotomondongo wall). Frequency every 30′. Another option is to take a cab to the station (10 minutes). Take a bus (MONBUS) or a train (RENFE) to the station of Santiago de Compostela, journey between 1h and 1h and 30 minutes. Once there, transfer to the bus (MONBUS) to Lugo (2h and 30 minutes). Desde Madrid Airport

Car or cab: 600km with an estimated duration of 5 hours and 45 minutes.
Plane: Take a plane to Santiago de Compostela airport (1 hour and 15 minutes). Take the bus (LINE 6A) from Santiago de Compostela airport to the center. Frequency every 15′ and with an approximate duration of 20′. Another option is to take a cab, with an estimated duration of 15′. For schedules and more information visit: https://tussa.org/
Train: From T4 take the suburban train (LÍNEA C1) towards Chamartín (17′ trip). Once there, transfer to the train (RENFE) towards Santiago de Compostela, journey time is 3 hours and 15 minutes. To consult timetables and more information visit: www.renfe.com
Bus: From T4 take the bus to A Coruña (ALSA), journey time is 8 hours and 35 minutes. For schedules and more information visit: www.alsa.es

Repetir es la mejor reseña No hay mejor opinión que repetir la experiencia. Mi primera experiencia con ellos fue en marzo y ahora en septiembre repetí y volveré a hacerlo. Atentos, cumplen todo, modifican lo que les pidas a capricho

Perfecta para tener un Buen Camino Muy buena experiencia, nos organizaron el camino francés desde Sarria tal y como les pedimos saliendo todo perfecto y según lo esperado.

Destacar que fuimos con un bebé y en todo alojamiento contamos con cuna tal y como habíamos pedido.

experiencia muy positiva Hice el camino frances desde sarria, todo muy bien organizado, a media pension,
tanto hoteles y pensiones bastante correctas.
algunos de ellos tenian restaurante, y desde luego es una ventaja, ya que al termino de la etapa del dia podias comer alli,
y sino te hacen un vale para comer muy cerca del alojamiento.
desde luego muy recomendable.
